Halloween Costumes- Homemade make the memories

Thinking back through the years what Halloween costumes do you remember? Those purchased or those homemade? I know we are all busy but for me I think homemade make lasting memories.

As a child of the late 70's & 80's I distinctly remember the one Halloween costume my parents purchased. The plastic C3P0 when I was in Kindergarten. Otherwise my costumes were pieced together. I was the youngest of 4 so we had inventory of hats, capes, etc. I was transformed into a Cheerleader, Cowgirl, Dracula. Once my mom made an awesome Clown costume out of my footed zippered pajamas (snuggie) and sheets.

As an adult I have most enjoyed creating my own costumes. I am no Martha Stewart and don't know how to sew. Give me a glue gun, duck tape and I can make some magic.
